Why Communication? | Why Our Program?
- Bachelor of Arts program prepares students for careers in the media (TV, video, podcasting/radio, streaming, social, journalism, sports, entertainment, and digital) and advertising (marketing, public relations) industries.
- Two minor options allow students from other disciplines to augment their education with a foundation in either General Communication or Digital Media Production.
- Students can gain hands-on experience in on-campus multimedia production studio and join student-run organizations: The Anchor (newspaper), ANCHOR-TV and WXIN (radio).
- Topics covered in the Communication BA curriculum include: Advertising; media ethics; social media communication; audio production; digital video production; sports reporting.
Students learn by doing with many project-based courses and real-world opportunities to build a portfolio of work to present to future employers and graduate schools.
